For years I was struggling with this problem.
But is there a way to clean export rigged animated (skeletal) model from blender to Unity3D.
To be more precise I just want to model it properly in blender with up as is in blender and forward as it is in blender and export it to unity3D with up as is in unity3d and forward as is in unity3d.
Without any additional scales or rotations of a mesh (90deg etc.).
I does not have to be fbx format.
