Plugins purchased in Unity 4... Will they work in Unity 5?

Sorry if already addressed but I couldn't find the answer yet...

We're new to Unity and are looking at buying a bunch of plugins from the asset store. Will all these be useless when Unity 5 is released? Even if they are compatible with 5 will we have to repurchase them?
