Creating a smooth floating scrip not using rigid body.

Hi, i have a game which i want some floating cubes but i really hate having to create a new animation for everytime i create a new cube in a different position (unless you can have dynamic transform options).
I tried using a rigid body with add force but i don't like how unresponsive it is, it'll go past the point to slow down and will take quite a while. I would like to use something like moveTowards but it isn't very smooth and just will instantly change direction. i want something that is...
