A heads up, hopefully Unity fixes this soon or maybe someone knows of a way to get around this issue:

My game relies heavily on Animator.Crossfade. If multiple crossfades are called after each other without much if any delay in-between mecanim breaks. The app does not crash or have log errors but it performs weirdly. Rootmotion performs very strangely and everything feels wonky.
