Smooth transition between Particle Texture Sheet Animation

I've created a candle fire with particles and a material with a texture with 4x4 different fire images, I applied that material to the Particle Texture Sheet Animation, adjusted the options, and the result is acceptable:

But the transition smoothness between frames is pretty much the same as you can see in the gif animation, the game runs at 60 fps so the low fps on the candle fire animation is noticeable.

To get a reasonable animation, I have to do a fast...
