Maybe I'm a little naive, but I think that WebGL is going to drastically change the gaming landscape. I think that instant accessibility is going to remove a lot of road blocks between new games and new players. I could very well see players be willing to try out a game if there is minimal commitment, with not so much as an install or even a plug in.
